The historic town of Tewkesbury, sat alongside the confluence of the Rivers Severn and Avon in Gloucestershire, has been an important market town since early medieval times. Although home to many notable Tudor buildings, it is most famous for its Abbey, which is thought to be one of the finest examples of Norman architecture in Britain.
